NOTES on John McWherter: Family tradition and most census records ag ree that he was born in VA and his father as well. He was in Mario n Co, OH as early as 1830. On 1840 census the age of wife differs fr om 1830( if it is his wife with him and not a bro and sister-in-law ) so it is believed that he was married previously. It shows him wit h 2 children obviously born before his marriage to Charlotte. Henry , the oldest boy went with them to IN but the female born bet 1830-18 35 shown on the 1840 census did not accomp them to IN or was marrie d before the 1850 census. We have no name for her. John is buried i n Cosperville Cem, Noble Co, IN. !NOTE: This is my 2nd great grandfat her it is only an assumption that this Henry is his father.

144. Daniel IMBODY1. !NAME: Name is known only from the sexton's record at Hill Church (Be rks County), which records the name on Johlan Adam's death and buria l record. He is buried in the cemetery at Hill Church, but the sit e of the grave is unknown, having been lost over the years. Given th e site of his daughter's grave (next to the church bldg) his is mos t likely nearby. There are several unreadable red sandstone grave markers as well as sites which are likely graves but which are no longe r marked. It is also likely his wife's grave is next to his.
